Food Rescue US, the technology-fueled, direct-transfer food rescue organization dedicated to ending food insecurity in America, is thrilled to present their signature fundraising event, Food for All. Food for All has become one of Fairfield County's most popular strolling, eating events and this year features the hottest restaurants and artisans on the local dining scene. Exclusive Cocktail Hour (5:30pm-6:30pm) tickets are $250 and include access to private pre-event cocktails and food presented by Chef Bill Taibe of Kawa Ni, Jessup Hall and Whelk. Westport Country Playhouse will host a 2018 Season Kick-off Party on Saturday, April 7, from 5 to 8 p.m., offering a fun atmosphere with food trucks, beer tastings, exhibits, and special ticket discounts. In addition, a “Sneak Peek” of the upcoming season will be hosted by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director, at 6:30 p.m. The “Sneak Peek” will feature guests representing all of the upcoming productions, including playwrights, directors, and designers. Admission is free and open to the public.
Local food trucks, including MAC Truck, Melt Mobil, and Bodega will be on site with their specialties available for purchase. Drinks will be provided by Redding Beer Company, Charter Oak Brewing Company, Veracious, and Spiked Seltzer. Restaurant partners serving complimentary tastings are Tavern on Main, Rizzuto’s, and Nancy Burke Catering. The event will take place rain or shine. Vendors subject to change.
Half Full Brewery and CT Bites are excited to bring you a creative and collaborative food and beer-pairing event series. Not to be missed, "Beers & Bites" 2018 pairs limited release beers from Half Full Brewery with totally off-menu food items from some of Fairfield County's best chefs and food truck operators. For each event, the team behind the "bites" (1 brick and mortar chef, 1 food truck chef) will come together to collaborate on that evening's menu and cook and serve from the host Food Truck...two chefs, one totally off-menu food experience. Each menu item will be paired with a limited-release beer from the Half Full Brewery with the Brewers onsite to introduce each pairing.
