Through the end of May, b Restaurants are celebrating National Burger Month with “Burger & a Bud” all day, every Monday.  $10 will get you a Big Mini with Fries and a 12oz Budweiser bottle.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the veterans’ charity, Folds of Honor.

On Thursday May 31, Basso Café in Norwalk presents a wine dinner.  The theme of the meal is “a celebration of Piemonte, La Toscana and Venetto's fare and wines.”  Guest speaker Larry Smith, Wine importer and Wine & Spirit Trust graduate, will be on hand to answer any questions.  Chef Renato Donzelli will make delicious fare to complement the vino.   

George Home in Washington Depot, CT will host the authors of CAKE, Maira Kalman and  Barbara Scott-Goodman,  on Saturday June 2 from 2-5pm.  There will be bubbly, cakes and a book signing.

Artisan Restaurant now has Social Hour!  From 4-7pm, 7 days a week, enjoy cocktails for $6, Rose for $5, Beer for $4, and rotating food specials.  It’s the perfect way to enjoy the patio when the summer gets nice!

What are you doing on Friday June 1?  Just tell people you’ve “Gone Fishin’” with Chop Shop Cooking.  Their cooking classes continue with a menu featuring Sesame Crusted Tuna Tacos w/ Pineapple Salsa & Wasabi Cream, Seared Scallops w/ Fennel, Grapefruit & Cukes, Summer Shellfish Bouillabaisse w/ Tomato & Basil Rouille, an Seared Halibut w/ Gremolata & White Beans.  

Visit Columbus Park Trattoria in Stamford a FREE Thermomix cooking class designed with Father's Day in mind.  On Saturday June 2 from 10am-12:30pm, learn tricks for cooking with the appliance.   

Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo will host its annual Wild Wine, Beer, and Food Safari on Saturday June 2 from 6-9pm.  There will be food and drink tastings from local vendors, live music, a silent auction, and, of course, the zoo!  Proceeds from the rain or shine event will support the zoo and its programming.   

Shearwater is celebrating its One Year Anniversary on Saturday, June 2nd from 1pm to 5pm its new outdoor deck.

The 3rd Annual Shakesbeer returns to Pinkney Park on June 2 from 6-10pm.  The event includes local beer tastings, an auction, food trucks, dancing, and more.  Tickets start at $75.   

The New Haven Food Truck Festival rolls into Long Wharf Park on Saturday June 2.  The festival runs from 12-7pm.  Admission is free with food and drink available for purchase.   

The Sunday Prime Buffet is back at Washington Prime in Norwalk!  For $34.95 per person, enjoy an enormous buffet featuring a raw bar, prime rib station, omelettes, pastries, and more.  It even includes one complimentary mimosa, bloody mary, or Moscow mule.

During the whole month of June, in honor of National Steakhouse Month, Michael Jordan’s Steak House will be serving up the following prime deals.  On Friday evenings in June, the restaurant will be serving a 24 oz. Chateaubriand topped with a decadent truffle hollandaise sauce and roasted garlic (for two people) for $125.  Saturday evenings the restaurant will be serving a 45-day dry aged 42oz. Tomahawk Ribeye with red watercress and horseradish vinaigrette (also for two people) for $125. 

Endemol Shine North America, the producers behind MASTERCHEF and MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, announced CAMP MASTERCHEF, the culinary camps for kids and teens ages 8-16, beginning June 2018.  The one-week or two-week overnight camps with themed programming will debut in two locations: Rabun-Gap, GA (June 3-July 28) and Kent, CT (June 17- August 11).  Enrollment is open!  .
