During the month of March, Artisan Restaurant in Southport will feature “Bon Voyage Menus.”  Chef Frederic Kieffer has created four menus highlighting four distinct global cuisines.  First up- Italy from March 1-11!  The prix fixe menu is $19 for lunch and $45 for dinner.

Mystic Restaurant Week spans from March 5-11.  Restaurants like Go Fish, The Engine Room, Go Fish, The Irons, and more are presenting special menus for lunch and/or dinner. 

The Westport Farmers’ Market, Fleishers Craft Butchery, and Patagonia Provisions will present a screening of the award-winning Sundance documentary LOOK & SEE, a powerful cinematic portrait of Wendell Berry- farmer, activist, and undoubtedly one of America’s most significant living writers.  The film will be screened on March 5 at Fairfield Theater Company.

On Monday March 5, The Spread in Greenwich will host a Tequila Dinner at 7pm.  The evening includes a welcome cocktail and a 5 course meal created by Chef Carlos Baez  for $75/ per person.  Space is limited, Reservations (203) 900-1887

Tuesday March 6 is “Teacher Appreciation Night” at Brewport!  Show your teacher ID between 3:30pm and 5:30pm for free pizza.

Stew Leonard’s in Newington will have a “Nutty for Nutella Culinary Class for Toddlers” on March 6.  Kids ages 2-5 will prepare Nutella fudge cookies, Nutella roll ups, and frozen hot chocolate.  It costs $20 per child. 

On Tuesday March 6, Back 40 Kitchen presents a Cakebread Cellars wine dinner.  A five course menu will be paired with the famous Napa wines starting at 7pm.  It costs $160 per person.

On Wednesday March 7, The Blind Rhino, Half Full Brewery, and Copps Island Oysters are teaming up for Beer & Oyster night.  From 6-9pm, Half Full will celebrate their oyster stout Grace & Darkness, Copps Island Oysters will showcase their oysters that are used in the stout, and The Blind Rhino will serve oysters both fried and on the half shell. 

 Chop Shop Cooking’s next class is all about “Asian Favorites.”  Join them on Thursday March 8 for a menu of Mandarin Pork Dumplings with Hoisin Sauce, Chicken Lettuce Cups with Sweet Chili Sauce & Cashews, Shrimp Pad Thai, and Korean Beef Bibimbap Bowls.  http://www.chopshopcooking.com/

Through March 19, Plan b Restaurants is bringing back five of their most beloved dishes: the Beef Wellington Bites, Portobello Tots, the PB&J Burger, the East Coast Burger, and the Lobster Pot Pie.  They are also bringing back two of their classic cocktails for the promotion: the Kentucky Kiss (Evan Williams, Absolut Vanilla, Coca Cola, & Mint) and D’s Café (Kahlua, Absolut, Patron, Bailey’s and Coffee).

Tim’s Kitchen at Wakeman Town Farm wants you to learn all about “the benefits of bone broth.”  On Thursday March 8 from 7-9pm, they’ll demonstrate how use beef bone broth to make a Beef and Mushroom Pho.  Then, they’ll use chicken bone broth to yield a Chicken and Spiced Chickpea Grain Bowl with Avocado.  BYOB!  It costs $65 per person and is limited to 16 people. 

Swyft in Kent is now serving lunch Wednesday through Saturday from 12-2:30pm.  On Sundays, they also offer an all-day brunch/lunch/early dinner service from the hours of 11:30am-6:30pm. 

On Saturday March 10, Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk will invites you to a tasting and bottle signing of Astral Tequila by brand partner Jonathan Goldsmith.  Stop by from 3:30-5pm.

Easterseals of Greater Waterbury is hosting their 25th annual Chocolate and Food Festival on Saturday March 10 from 12-5pm.  There will be sampling of chocolates, specialty foods, beer, and wine!  Tickets start at $5. 

On March 10, The Essex Community Fund presents the 1st Annual Cheers for Charity Beerfest.  Taste local beers and cider inside the Oliver Jensen Gallery and River Valley Junction Hall at the Essex Steam Train.  Choose a VIP experience or general admission. 

Vazzano’s Four Seasons hosts the Playing for Paws 5th Annual Animal Rescue Fund Raiser on Saturday March 10 from 6:30-11pm.  A $45 ticket goes to benefit Animals In Distress, BARC CT., Thank Dog Rescue and Stratford Cat Project and includes appetizers and a full buffet dinner.  A cash bar is available too.  https://www.facebook.com/events/786879184852728/

The Fairfield Health & Fitness Expo will take place at Fairfield University on Sunday March 11.  There will be food trucks as well as free demos and classes.  It runs from 11am-4pm and admission is free.
