Wine bingo is a thing!  On Tuesday June 13, give the game your best shot at Ballou's Restaurant & Wine Bar in Guilford from 5:30-8pm.  Your $25 ticket gets you a seat at the game plus a glass of wine.  Food and beverage will be available to purchase also. 

New Haven’s Caseus Fromagerie Bistro will offer a Rose and Cheese Pairing class on Tuesday June 13 from 6-7:30pm.  Taste an assortment of international roses with complementary cheeses.  Tickets are available online for $45.   

Stamford Magazine’s 5th Annual Best Bartender Contest goes down on Wednesday June 14!  Local bartenders will compete to wine over the crowd with their best original cocktail recipes.  The event also features summer dishes and calypso music.  Tickets are $30 in advance online and $35 at the door.   

On Thursday June 15, Chop Shop Cooking continues their summer cooking classes with “Gone Fishing.”  The session includes recipes like Sesame Crusted Tuna Tacos with Pineapple Salsa and Wasabi Cream,  Seared Scallops with Fennel, Grapefruit and Cukes, Summer Shellfish Bouillabaisse with Tomato and Basil Rouille, and Seared Halibut with Gremolata and White Beans.  It costs $80 per person and lasts from 7-9pm. 

Val’s Putnam Wines invites you to Tengda Asian Bistro in Greenwich to for a private wine tasting featuring 90+ point Barolos from Cascina Adelaide.  Join them on June 13 from 4:30-8:30pm.  Please RSVP by calling (203) 869-2299.

Barcelona West Hartford presents a "Night at the Boqueria," a walk-around tasting will featuring local and Spanish food vendors as well as their direct-import Gretchen Selections wines.  It will take place on Thursday June 15 from 5:30-10pm.  Space is limited, so be sure to purchase tickets online.  https://www.facebook.com/events/144977289379181

The Weekend Kitchen in Essex will teach you all about Grilling Summer Seafood on Tuesday June 13.  Chef Paul Barron will guide participants through a menu of a farmers market salad of seasonal greens, little neck clams, fresh swordfish and shrimp with a Chimchurri sauce, grilled seasonal vegetables, and grilled peaches with Arethusa Farmers cheese and local honey.  Feel free to BYOB! 

The Summer Solstice Food Truck Festival converges on the Hamden Town Center Park on Friday June 16 from 4:30-9pm.  There will be over 24 vendors, a kids zone, DJs, and live music.  https://www.facebook.com/events/382485592132684 

Bridgeport’s Discovery Museum isn’t just for kids!  On Saturday June 17, they will host Perfect Pairings: A Delicious Discovery Date Night, with wine, chocolate, and a catered tasting menu.  Childcare is also available so kids can enjoy a pizza party while adults partake in the pairings.  All proceeds will benefit STEM learning programs at Discovery Museum.

The Town of Guilford will host their Summer Sizzler event on Saturday June 17 from 3-6pm.  It will be held at Jacobs Beach on Seaside Ave.

Newtown presents a Food Truck Festival on Saturday June 17 at Fairfield Hills.  In addition to over 20 food trucks, there will be live music, craft beer, a huge tag sale, and family friendly activities.  The festival will benefit the Chamber of Commerce of Newtown, Inc., Newtown Parks and Recreation and NYA Sports & Fitness Center in Newtown, Connecticut. 

The 1st ever West Hartford Wine & Food Festival will take place on Saturday June 17 at Kingswood Oxford School from 1-6pm.  Sample over 200 wines, try food from 25 Hartford County restaurants, and more.  A portion of proceeds will benefit scholarships and school needs for West Hartford Independent Schools.  Tickets are for sale online. 

Sunset Meadow Vineyards serves as the backdrop for a Smoke n Vines BBQ on June 17.  The semi-annual event has a whole pig roast by Uncle Willie’s BBQ, premium cigars from Butthead’s Tobacco Emporium, and wine specials.  A $65 ticket includes the BBQ buffet and 3 cigars.  (It costs $40 for just the BBQ). 

The Fairfield Farmers Market is back for the 2017 summer season!  The market will be every Sunday 10-2, rain or shine, until Oct 1st on the historic Sherman Green in downtown Fairfield. 

Enjoy a Talk, Tour & Honey Tasting at Red Bee Apiary on Sunday June 18.  Walk through the gardens and partake in a flight of 6 American honeys and food pairings.  It is $35 per person.
