This summer, Mama’s Boy in South Norwalk offers “Cruise and Cuisine” on Friday nights.  Enjoy a three course dinner on the Norwalk Harbor at sunset.  It runs through August 28 and costs $57 per person, plus tax and gratuity. 

Beer meets farm fresh cuisine on Monday July 13.  Kent Falls Brewing and Birch Hill Tavern will host a 5 course beer dinner in Glastonbury, CT with  locally sourced dishes created by Chef Chris Evans and his culinary team.  Purchase your tickets for $65 pp here. 

Kids are home for the summer and you can treat them to cooking classes at Stew Leonard’s Newington location.  This week, they’ll offer a “Quick and Healthy Snack & Meal” class for toddlers (ages 2-5, adult must accompany child).  There will be two sessions Tuesday July 14: 9:30-10:30am and 11:30am-12:30pm & Saturday 9:30-10:30am.  The cost is $15 per child. 

Barcelona is more than a wine bar.  On Tuesday July 14, the West Hartford location invites you to “Stony Creek Brewery Night.”  Chef Eric Stagl will pair his cuisine with the local craft brews for a unique beer dinner.  It starts at 7pm and costs $45 person, plus tax and gratuity. 

The second Beers at the Beach event will happen Thursday, July 16th at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk. This event will feature the beers of Kent Falls Brewing. It starts at 6:30pm and costs $30 per person. 

Also on July 16, Olea Restaurant in New Haven, Amity Wine & Spirit Co, and Grupo Bodegas Olarra are teaming up for a Spanish Wine Dinner.  The 5 course dinner includes a cava reception.  It starts at 6:30pm and is $75, all inclusive.  RSVP with Jim Boyrer at jimb@amitywines.net or phone: 203.397.9463

Thursday July 16 is the 4th Annual Ganim’s Garden Center’s Ladies Night in Fairfield.  Enjoy food trucks, local vendors, raffles, a wine tasting courtesy of Harry’s Wines, and more from 6-8:30pm.  Register online at gamimsgardencenter.com.  Raffle proceeds go to Ali’s Angels. 

Townsquare Media will be hosting their first Bacon & Brew Festival on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Visit the City Center Green in Danbury, CT at 3pm to enjoy your pick of craft beers, fabulous foods, music and much more! General admission into the Bacon and Brew Festival is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The Freedom Beer Fest comes to Warsaw Park in Ansonia on Saturday July 18.  Enjoy tastings, music, food, and more.  General admission is just $15 ($20 at the door), with proceeds going toward the Wounded Warrior Project. Octagon Steakhouse in Groton, CT has BBQ Thursdays each Thursday this summer.  Enjoy a 3 course prix fixe dinner with your favorite fixins’ for $30 per adult and $15 for children 10 and under.  Add a beer flight for just $5.
