Southport Brewing Company, with locations in Southport and Milford, has opened their patios!  Come enjoy some drinks and food outdoors. 

Monday June 22, Stamford’s Bar Rosso will hold a 4 course Pio Cesare wine dinner.  All of the cuisine is inspired by Piedmont, Italy.  It costs $75 per person and begins at 7pm.  Call for reservations at 203.388.8640 or email 

Beer Monday June 22 Cask Republic Stamford will hold a Captain Lawrence Beer Dinner.  Crew members at Cask had the opportunity to brew a double dry hopped session IPA with them that will be featured at the dinner. It is 7pm, $75 ticket (inclusive of tax/tip). 

Every Tuesday night, Harlan Publick’s bar and patio will be open and serving sample-sized treats for $2.  You can choose from Harlan Angus Beef Sliders, Peekytoe Crab Fritters, Jamaican Jerk Chicken Tacos, Korean Fried Chicken, Pok Pok Style Pork Ribs & More.  There will be select $3 beers as well. 

Wednesday, June 24th, Walrus + Carpenter is celebrating their 2 year anniversary with an all you can eat pig roast buffet, live music and O.G. cocktails!  

Center Street Public House in Darien will host its first whisky tasting event on Wednesday June 24 at 6:30pm.  It will feature Bulleit Bourbon, Bulleit Rye and Bulleit 10 and be hosted by Whisky Ambassador Joe Gratkowski.  There will be 3 courses to complement the bourbons.  As a bonus, enjoy the last course on the patio with a ½ price Davidoff cigar. Tickets are $35. 

On June 25, the Hartford Public Library invites you to grill and enjoy some drinks on their patio!  The menu is unique and encompassing… They’ll grill pizza, clams, watermelon and more.  The event will last from 5:30-7:30pm and costs $40 per person. 

Thursday June 25 is a “Guys Night Out” at Barcelona Fairfield starting at 7:30pm. Sip on craft beer or a selection from our Scotch bar, while Chef Darren fires up the grill and roasts a pig in our caja China. Amity Wine & Spirit and 55 Wine Bar & Restaurant in Fairfield, CT will feature 2010 Brunellos on Thursday June 25 at 6:30pm.  There will be cheese and charcuterie and 8-9 wines including the 98pt Il Poggione, 97pt Castelgiocondo, 94+pt Fattoria Del Barbi, 94pt Le Potazzine Gorelli Brunello di Montalcino, and 95pt Agostina Pieri. Ray of Light Farms in East Haddam, CT will hold a 'Red, White and Brew Wine Tasting' on June 27 from 7-9pm.  Enjoy music and hors d'oeuvres while seeing the animals and participating in a silent auction.  Proceeds will benefit animal rescue and animal assisted therapy efforts.  $35 for admission.  Call 860-873-1895 for tickets and details.

Sur La Table in Canton, CT would like to teach you “10 Summer Skills Every Cook Should Know.”  From basic knife skills to making vinaigrette, they’ll teach you important skills for everyday summer cooking.  The class will take place on June 27 from 10am-12pm.  It costs $69 per person.  

On Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28, visit Sunset Meadow Vineyards from 12-5pm for a special Barrel Tasting. Taste wines before they are released and take an exclusive tour with the winemaker. They will even offer a wine 101 class at 3pm and send you home with a souvenir glass and tote bag. Tickets are $13.50 through June 25.

On Monday, June 29, Beverage Director Olie Berlic and Chef de Cuisine Chris Bateman of Paloma will present a 6-course dining experience that will pair craft-made bourbon cocktails with Latin-inspired botanas.  Later, cigars can be enjoyed on Paloma’s gorgeous second story patio.
