Battle of the Chefs returns to Founders Hall on Sunday, May 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. and CTbites has a pair of tickets to give away to one lucky reader. The culinary showdown event will feature Chefs Silvia Bianco, formerly of Biscotti, Bernard Bouissou of Bernard’s, and Prasad Chirnomula of Thali, with emcees and hosts Amy Kundrat and Stephanie Webster (yours truly).

Event guest will enjoy and judge the appetizers created by the three chefs prior to the entrée competition, as well hors d'oeuvres and an open bar throughout the event, culminating with desserts from all three chefs. Guests will be able to sit and watch the chefs cook and compete, mingle and enjoy tasting bars from purveyors including Red Bee Honey, Shearwater Coffee, and Palm and Rodenbach beer. Guests will also be able to watch the judges taste as they ask the chefs about their creations before final judging takes place
Last year’s Battle of the Chefs raised more than $30,000 for Founders Hall, a donor-supported education and recreation center for people age 60 and older located at 193 Danbury Road, Ridgefield. Ticket purchases, $100 for general viewing or $500 for a seat at the tasting table, will support life-long learning, fitness and fun for more than 3,300 people.
