Harts Gallery Benefit Featuring Food by Chef Joel Viehland

CTbites Team

A benefit for the Harts Gallery Children’s Art Program in New Milford will take place on Saturday, December 12 from 5 to 8 p.m., with food & wine tastings by Chef Joel Viehland, former executive chef at Community Table. The food will be a preview for the Viehland's forthcoming restaurant concept opening soon in Kent, Connecticut. Advance tickets are $40 per person; $50 at the door.

Evan Abramson and Carmen Elsa Lopez Ambramson run the artist-run space, and explained the impetus for the event:

All the profits from the event will go to fund our gallery's ongoing series of visual art and movement classes for kids 2 years old and up, which are offered on a free and donation-based basis. Our goal is to educate, empower and expand the visions and imaginations of kids and parents throughout New Milford and our region, by presenting challenging and thought-provoking art exhibits alongside inventive arts education programming.
