On Monday August 4, Eli Cannons of Middletown will hold its 5th annual beer fest to benefit the Middlesex YMCA and YMCA Camp Ingersoll.  Food will be provided by 4 great local food trucks. Lucky Taco, The Whey Station, Fryborg, and of course NoRA Cupcake Company.  5-9pm, rain or shine.  $20pp.

The Ginger Man in South Norwalk will be hosting their 2nd Annual Home Brew Competition on Tuesday, August 5.  Judging starts at 3pm, the party starts at 5pm!  

Tuesday August 5, celebrate the winners of Moffly Media’s Best of Greenwich awards.  Winners will be feted at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor.  L’escale Restaurant will help host the event.  Starting at $55.  7pm.

The Darien Farmers Market runs on Wednesdays from 11-3.

Sugar & Olives hosts a “Summer Soup Focus Group” on Wednesday, August 6th from 7-9pm.  Whip up four delectable treats: Heirloom tomato gaspacho, a summer pistou, corn chowder, and a pea soup.  Starting at $80. Every Wednesday, they also host “Wednesday Weekday Nooners” from 12pm-2pm  Watch a three recipe demo and enjoy a three-course lunch (cocktails too).  Starting at $40. 

Napa & Company in Stamford has several great deals all summer long.  Monday-Friday from 4-7, they are “trimming the vines” will wines by the glass for 50% off.  On Wednesdays, BYOB because there are no corkage fees.  

Join Barcelona New Haven for live music on Thursday nights from 8-10:30 and Barcelona Greenwich on Sundays from 7:30-9:30.

Friday August, enjoy more of the “UnWINEd Concert Series” at Priam Vineyards.  From 6 – 9:00pm. enjoy live music, great wine, great food and the sunset in the vineyards. Meanwhile, Stonington Vineyards offers another live music event on Friday nights in the summer.  This week, listen to jams from the Hoolios from 6 to 9pm.  The events are rain or shine.
