Get a Taste of Easter at Stew Leonard’s on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, 2014. Stew’s culinary team will offer complimentary tastes of their best sellers for Easter throughout the store. Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk- Saturday, April 12 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Sunday, April 13 12 – 4 p.m.

On Monday evenings, order the special Burger & Bordeaux at South End in New Canaan and enjoy a Speakeasy Burger and a glass of Bordeaux for $25. 

Tuesday is Burger Night at Darien Social. Every Tuesday there will be new burgers, created by the Chef. Come out and enjoy the menu and the great price.

Half Full Brewery in Stamford holds another Rare Beer Night on Wednesday April 16th.  Rare Beer Night is a recurring series that will take place on the third Wednesday of each month.  The evening will feature 3-5 test batches and attendees will receive full pints of each beer. Tasty food pairings will also be provided by Fairfield Cheese Company and Fairway Market. 

Also on Wednesday, Barcelona SONO presents “La Vida del Mercat,” a walk-around tasting that will feature our favorite food vendors, both locally and from Spain.  This event will be farmers market style, giving you the chance to sample and learn from various presenting vendors, such as artisanal Spanish cheeses from Forever Cheese, organic maple syrup from Doc’s Maple Syrup, and an authentic Jamon de Iberico slicing demonstration by our cortador from Montenevado. Connecticut’s very own Jones Winery invites you to “sip and savor” on Wednesday April 16th.  The Sip & Savors offer guests a light-hearted yet knowledgeable discussion on the pairing of foods and wines.  Their chef will prepare a delicious, farm-style family supper which you will enjoy with four wine tastings. 203-929-8425. Please join The Greenwich Wine Society on Wednesday, April 16th for a “Prosecco Party”- a delightful evening of sipping Prosecco,  nibbling tasty hors d’oeuvres, and interacting with fellow wine enthusiasts  in celebration of the Greenwich Wine Society's Sixth  Anniversary. This is not meant to be an educational event (many of our other programs involve considerable wine talk). Here, there will be lots of merriment and a minimum of talk. Thursday April 17, New Canaan Wine Merchants invites you to “meet the winemaker!”  Michael Keenan (recently featured by CTBites!) will answer all of your questions and give you the chance to taste a wonderful line-up of his wines.  A portion of sales will go toward the Summer Theater of New Canaan.  7-8:30pm. Meet the Masters of Berkshire Brewing and Berkshire Mountain Distillers Thursday, April 17th from 6:30-8:30pm in the Amity Tasting Room in New Haven. Friday April 18 from 6:30-9 it’s a BYOB Painting Party "Picasso Style Portraits" at Art Plus Studio in SoNo. Face off against a partner while painting Picasso Style Portraits of one another.  You and will sketch and paint the other’s likeness while sipping on your favorite beverage.  No experience is necessary! They will provide you with all materials, take-home canvases, and step-by-step instruction with one of our fabulous teachers. Two Roads in Stratford is having a Nor’Yeaster event, a special brewery-only beer release of three unique and rare beers to be held on Saturday, April 19 starting at noon.  They will release 690 bottles of each beer at $10 with a purchase limit of two bottles per person per style for a maximum of six bottles total.  Bottles will be sold on a first come, first served basis.  All three beers will be on draft that day in the brewery tasting room until supplies last.
