The 4B Festival announced the area’s first of its kind festival of specially curated beer, bourbon, barbecue and bacon is coming to New England. Happy Holidays to me!
4B concepted this indulgent experience in honor of two cornerstones of American heritage – fermented grains and salted meats – and to help drive local businesses and tourism. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships will go to the CT Craft Brewers Guild to help support local businesses.
From microbrews to pork belly, the 4B Festival will bring together national and local purveyors all in one place to offer the most delicious and creative samplings to “4B” aficionados, all highlighted with musical performances, interactive art displays and live competitions among home brewers, BBQ taste tests and a bacon eating contest for the real meat eaters. From food samplings from pit masters, chefs and restaurants to bacon-infused treats to tastings at beer and bourbon stations with a souvenir shot glass.
“After family there are very few important things in life, and we’ve narrowed them down to these four - Beer, Bourbon, Barbecue & Bacon,” said David Salinas, creator of the 4B Festival and CEO of Digital Surgeons. “But in all seriousness, the growing popularity of crafted beers and distilled bourbons paired with America’s love of BBQ and bacon inspired us to create this first-ever experience, and as a local business, we’re motivated to help bring more business and tourism to this culinary capital of Connecticut.”
The 4B Festival will be one of the largest indoor events in the state held at the old Trolley Barn, which has been converted into the bustling creative space it is today. Injecting the space is an immense tunnel-like hall featuring 30-foot high ceilings and over 20,000 square feet of common space, where the festival will take place and host upwards of 4,000 guests.
Date: Saturday, March 22, 2014
Times: In order to accommodate all guests, the festival will have two windows when guests can attend: 12 pm – 4 pm – OR - 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Location: 1175 State Street New Haven, CT
To make it easy for 4B connoisseurs from around the tri-state to get to the festival, free shuttle buses will be running to and from the Union Street Metro North Train Station to the event. Three designated parking areas will also be available.
