Join Fat Cat Pie Co & Fountainhead Wines on March 16th for an evening supper club in their wine room with special guest; winemaker Fred Peterson of Peterson Winery, Healdsburg, CA (Dry Creek AVA) and musical guest; jazz keyboardist Robert Aries.
If you are only familiar with Fat Cat's pizza, wait till you see what Chef Herlihy and his team can do next door. These events allow diners to do a deep dive into the world of wine, whether it be a region, or a vineyard. Personally, I'd go just for the Salad Course. Their Chopped Kale Salad with Quinoa and Currants is an excellent addition to their current "Specials" menu, and really worth a try. Check out the full menu below:
Grilled Asparagus w/ Truffle Butter wrapped in Parma Ham
Maytag Blue Cheese w/ Apples & Pecans on Endive
Seared Lamb Loin w/ Whole Grain Mustard
Chopped Kale Salad w/ Quinoa, Currants, Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, Shaved Parmesan & Olive Oil
Silky Chocolate Mousse w/ Peanut Butter Crunch
Fred Peterson of Peterson Winery, located in the Dry Creek Valley of California, first cut his pruning shears with Paul Draper at Ridge vineyards where he was vineyard manager for this renowned estate before going out on his own. The Peterson mantra is 'zero manipulation' meaning that Fred and his son Jamie both believe in allowing the great raw materials (whether it be Sauvignon Blanc, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon or Zinfandel) to express themselves with the winemaker acting only as a conduit.
