Alexandra Wells

My current food cravings are: heirloom tomato salad, roasted beets and always dark chocolate

The only fast food I will eat is: McDonald's fries, but only furtively from my kids’ happy meal J

If I could be any Iron Chef, I would be: Dan Barber but in Giada's body

My favorite restaurant in Fairfield County is: Bonda in Westport, Paci in Southport

My favorite restaurant in the Tri-State area is: Blue Hill at Stone Barns

Restaurant dish I wish I could make at home: butternut squash ravioli

My go-to dinner party entrée is: osso bucco in winter, grilled shrimp and orzo salad in summer

When I’m not eating, I’m….spending time with my kids (usually while driving), fidgeting with my iPhone (generally not while driving), playing tennis, working out, gardening (which lately means doing daily battle with my resident woodchuck), building my stationery empire (okay, typesetting and printing), online shopping.

Prepared food I have let people think was home-made…pesto from farmer's market, although I didn’t actually claim ownership, just didn’t divulge source either.

I’d rather pick (pumpkins, apples, or strawberries) blueberries

The last book I enjoyed was: I've been on a tear lately -- The Help by Kathryn Stockett, Olive Kitteredge by Elizabeth Strout, Dark Places by Gillian Flynn

My favorite movie of all time is: that's a tough one, I love movies and am fairly easy to please. Love a good mob movie like Scarface. Also Blood Diamond, American Gangster, Michael Clayton

My favorite food related movie of all time is: Does 9 1/2 weeks count? seriously, don't think I have one.
